Trump and his sycophantic idols are lost in geopolitics; they won't reshape anything, just like Russia with NATO, which, instead of reshaping, expanded. The US wants to weaken the EU, but the opposite will happen: the EU will expand and strengthen, and nobody wants to be Brexit.
