Please allow me to elaborate:

This is where Hackney's cycling is now in one picture. Lime bikes are everywhere, there are even some cargo bikes. There are still quite a lot of helmets, and too many cars. It is not a bad place to be.

I used to cross Blackfriars Bridge on my bike daily, now my workplace is on the other side of London bridge, so I can't complain either. (Except for the quality of this picture, but I couldn't find a better one quickly.)

The Barbican Architectural tour is awesome. I knew that the Barbican is beautiful, but never knew how wonderful it is.

I might have become too prejudiced. I looked at the picture, the website and headline and my first reaction was: Transphobia?!?

There are some very surprising stats about cycling by borough. Hounslow has the same percentage of trips as WF? I rode around both, very different infra.
We have a lot to do in Outer London.

Once I had something like this and it turned out it needed a specific weighted stretch in my lower arm (?!?) to fix it (see picture). I found it accidentally, but it would have been easier to get a physio apt straight away. Said to say, but it is a lot easier to go private with this.

When we demolish Canary Wharf to build something liveable in its place, there should be a way to preserve this view

Kayaking is pretty awesome. It was a mistake to wait 44 years before learning how to do it.

Not many pictures, but today's ride to Richmond park was great, and the pro-Palestine protest that I ran into was nice too.

I would say people like the Oxford street pedestrianization idea.

If you have tips for a good route in London, don't keep it for yourself. My tip is, if you have a visitor who likes cycling and is relatively fit, and you want to show them around, take them from Hackney through the City, down to Embankment-Green park-Hyde park-Richmond park.

Routes through parks are not replacements for separated bike lanes on main roads, but even those low hanging fruits are rarely taken. There could be several low traffic routes for example from Lambeth to Richmond park. Or around Hainault or Epping forest

there are still places like Kensington High Street, that are hard to avoid. Why even the 10 percent modal share is unlikely to be reached, is because of Outer London. Most boroughs beside Waltham Forest, are terrible. Behold the most dangerous paintlane I have ever seen. (B&D)

I started going on longer rides in London regularly from 2020, the map below shows the last two years of these rides. I have some thoughts about the current state of cycling here, and it is time to collect these in a thread.
