Bears announce they re-signed safety Tarvarius Moore today.

The safety didn’t appear on defense at all last season, but played 66% of the team’s special teams snaps in the 11 games he played.

Grady Jarrett is about as durable as they come.

In his 10-year career he's only missed 12 games, and nine of those came in 2023 when he suffered an ACL injury in Week 8.

Jarrett was able to rebound from that injury to start all 17 games last year.

Declan Doyle spent four years with the Saints before joining the Broncos.

Like Dennis Allen, he worked with both Dan Campbell and Aaron Glenn in New Orleans.
January 27, 2025 at 1:28 AM
How Dennis Allen's Saints defense ranked in points allowed in the seven years he was their DC:

2015 - 32nd
2016 - 31st
2017 - 10th
2018 - 14th
2019 - 13th
2020 - 5th
2021 - 4th

The singular trait from Caleb Williams that stands out to Ben Johnson as something to build around:

"The ability for him to fit the ball into tight windows I think is a rare thing to see. He’s fearless playing that position."
January 22, 2025 at 9:05 PM
Ben Johnson was emphatic he's going to design a new offense specifically for Caleb Williams, not just bring over Lions offense.

"We're ripping this thing down to the studs and we're going to build it up with him first and foremost, then with pieces around him next."

Home teams are 0-2 with Gelo in attendance over the past two nights.

Bears asst GM Ian Cunningham completed an in-person interview with Titans for their open GM spot.

It was his second interview for the job.

If he lands the gig, Bears will receive a third-round comp pick for both 2025 and 2026 drafts.

Justin Herbert just another lame Duck?

(I do not think this loss is all on Herbert, but couldn't resist)
January 12, 2025 at 12:52 AM
Thomas Brown when asked what he thinks is missing from Bears:

"There’s not really a short answer to that question. I don’t have the time to go through everything I think is kind of missing."

Per OptaSTATS, tonight’s TNF game was the first where each team had

6+ punts
3+ sacks taken
2+ fumbles
1+ turnover
0 touchdowns

since 1987 when the Colts beat the Jets 6-0… with each team using replacement players due to the NFLPA strike
December 27, 2024 at 6:51 AM
How would y'all feel about some extra football tonight?
December 27, 2024 at 3:53 AM
Caleb Williams has been sacked 6+ times in five games this season.
December 27, 2024 at 3:32 AM
Meanwhile Bears D has forced two 3-and-outs of their own since giving up a long FG drive to start the game
December 27, 2024 at 1:45 AM
The Bears offense has started the game with a 3-and-out five times out of the last six games...

... the sixth time they turned the ball over on downs on a 4th-and-1 play.
December 27, 2024 at 1:34 AM
Caleb Williams is also your Bears leading rusher today with 34 yards.

D’Andre Swift had 20.
December 22, 2024 at 9:09 PM
Caleb Williams finished with 334 passing yards, giving him 3,271 on the season.

That's good for No. 6 on the Bears leaderboard for most passing yards in a season.

The rest w/ 2 games to go:

5: Cutler - 3,274
4: Cutty - 3,659
3: Cutty - 3,666
2: Cutty - 3,812
1: Kramer - 3,838
December 22, 2024 at 9:08 PM
That is Gerald Everett's first target and reception since the Cardinals game on Nov. 3
December 22, 2024 at 8:51 PM
Caleb Williams completed passes this drive:

14 yds, 7 yds, 5 yds, 10 yds, 10 yds, 22 yds

But also two false starts, a delay of game and a 9-yd sack.

So they punt on 4th-and-25.
December 22, 2024 at 8:37 PM
Bears blitzed on that 1st down pass to Jahmyr Gibbs and had Montez Sweat drop into the middle of the field in coverage.

Gibbs scooted past Sweat for an 11-yard gain.
December 22, 2024 at 7:20 PM
Bears fans, you like what you see from this Lions offense?
December 22, 2024 at 6:53 PM
It's remarkable how much the Lions OL is re-establishing the LOS in the run game.

It's looking like Gibbs is taking first contact five yards down the field.
December 22, 2024 at 6:37 PM
That's going down in the record books as a Caleb Williams fumble
December 22, 2024 at 6:21 PM
Looked like DeMarcus Walker affected that 3rd-and-2 throw while playing DT.

Couldn't see if he got his hand on the ball, but he was in Goff's throwing lane
