He actually seems to enjoy his job. He speaks about the skill of players and plays instead of making it all about the mistakes.
Part of what makes Mike Johnson such a good commentator is the way the admiration for really good hockey shows through his voice as he's explaining. You don't get enough of that kind of natural warmth about the sport itself these days.
