I thought that at the time, but the reason he wasn't was that Klopp wouldn't come in the summer and Edwards et al thought they could get him in 6 months, in retrospect they got it right.
Rodgers should have obviously resigned though.

He's started how many matches? 4
How many of those 4 has he been even close to fully fit?
Is that really the basis of an article?

Sounds like you just want them to echo your niche opinion. It's obviously far too early to give credence to the kneejerking, we're 12 games on from being league champions
November 24, 2025 at 8:57 AM
I think they've shown in the past that they'll address the manager head/coach question when it needs addressing.
November 24, 2025 at 8:50 AM
Palace I think, but yes I agree
November 23, 2025 at 1:09 PM
We beat Arsenal with Szobo at RB. It's not unreasonable to try it again
November 23, 2025 at 12:51 PM
Hopefully, but Ramsey struggled to hold down a place at Wigan before he was injured again
November 23, 2025 at 12:44 PM
It's retrospect though. The idea of Endo at CB in the PL against any of the 14 Pulis merchants, that target us on set pieces is obviously a terrible idea
November 23, 2025 at 11:29 AM
Well, I think it's fair to say we weren't expecting him to still be here. He's here by default, couldn't even loan him due to his injuries, so I'd say that's the point.
November 23, 2025 at 11:26 AM
Can you just imagine if Slot had played 5'8 Endo at CB against a Sean Dyche side and lost 3-0?
November 23, 2025 at 11:16 AM
I think Endo is a terrible option at CB in the PL. And for whatever reason, he's never started Gomez there in his time here. I don't know what the issue is with Gomez, I'd be starting him instead of Konate, but you get the impression they're not confident in his fitness
November 23, 2025 at 11:08 AM
Right, but I don't believe either have ever started a meaningful game for him at RB. So that's more chopping and changing which you don't like?

And Ekitike can't start every match, he'll start in the week, Forest was the easier match on paper.

I hope Ramsey gets a chance though and smashes it
November 23, 2025 at 11:02 AM
Trent was replaced in the squad with Wirtz
November 23, 2025 at 10:54 AM
Trent. Not just assists, so much of our build up went through him, it defined how we play.
November 23, 2025 at 10:53 AM
Or injured.
And he has to rotate, he can't play same XI every match until they break. We have something like 7 matches in 20 days. The RB situation forces his hand in midfield.
November 23, 2025 at 10:51 AM
Not sure what he's 'sticking with'
He can't pick players that are injured or he doesn't have
November 23, 2025 at 10:48 AM
*adversity
November 23, 2025 at 10:41 AM
Well yes, and maybe if either Guehi had signed or Leoni wasn't injured we'd have done that. Don't know why Gomez isn't in, feels like we think he'll break as soon as we play him
November 23, 2025 at 10:41 AM
Yeah, neither are ideal though, we've played better with Szobo at RB than with Jones, but we lose more in midfield. Am hoping we can get Gomez and even Ramsey minutes there and keep the other two in midfield.
November 23, 2025 at 10:38 AM
But he can't stick to his system, his system is Wirtz replacing the chances TAA used to, that's no doubt what we've been working on, but then he's injured. The Injured RBs fine help either
November 23, 2025 at 10:34 AM
Now a huge chunk of our chances are not just coming from a different player, but from a different position, which means everyone has to change. There's no "last season's team" to fall back on.
