IT’S ALIVE! today i received my advance copies of 𝘗𝘢𝘶𝘭 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯 𝘗𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘮 ahead of publication next month.

it just dawned on me last week that people might actually buy and read this book. which is mildly terrifying. yay?

The volume has a stellar lineup of ECRs, mid-career scholars, senior scholars, and retired professors. Together they represent a new approach to Paul come of age.

MORE PROOFS

this one's an odd one. I wrote it as an experimental piece to test whether my idea for a new book project had any weight to it, moving beyond my work on "idols" to rethink "icons." whether it's worthwhile i leave for you to decide.

forthcoming with JSNT. once again, open access!

forthcoming with JSJ. best of all: open access!

5. finally, i was recently awarded the 2024 paul j. achtemeier award for new testament scholarship, for a paper entitled "the politics of paul's image parodies: material epiphany, human-divine reciprocity, and social power" (forthcoming with NTS). I'll be presenting the paper at SBL in boston 2025.
