beyond what’s been mentioned (& +1 for all Octavia Butler), the Deluge has stuck with me longer than i would’ve thought when reading it

I’m only at .9cm (have to get to 3.8cm). I have used a knee sleeve at night for slightly better results. Ok thanks good to know it’s a normal issue.

oh question - did your knee ever hurt during lengthening? Mine is, on the kneecap - feels like it’s stretching but don’t know if that’s just in my head. Treating with heat & ice for now.

SAME

Thanks for checking in! Yeah I'm in a pretty solid routine. I'm not taking ibuprofen through the day, though I take it at night if I need for pain/sleeping. PT starts on 12/17, I get first X-rays next Friday. I'm jealous - I'm also ready to be off crutches but I'm probably 2 months away still.

just an update that i got off the oxy at 5 days and today (7 days) started the ERC lengthening. All well! glad to get the journey started
November 28, 2024 at 3:27 AM
oh also - why no ibuprofen? i was prescribed 600mg every 6hrs for pain

yes I’ve got the magnetic unit - just didn’t know the name! I can’t start using it for another 5 days. Very cool - the nurses all came in my room to see the contractor teach me how to use it; pretty rare apparently.

nice, congrats. what’s an ERC?

haven’t started yet but will shortly. So ready to be done with shoe lifts, yes. Oh another Q: were you able to drive a car during your growth phase? or now?
November 21, 2024 at 10:35 PM
great. thanks so much for the info! glad to hear it. How do you feel now that you’re at the more even length? I’m pretty excited for that outcome
November 21, 2024 at 10:09 PM
nice! how cool of you to offer. I guess my Qs are: were you able to ease off the hard drugs (oxy) before you ran out? Was the pain pretty easy to manage with ibuprofen/tylenol or was it pretty grating that first month? Did you have any setbacks & if so, triggered by what?
