Alternatively, realize that everyone else is an imposter too. I find the “if everyone’s super” argument from the incredibles applies and helps me feel better. Everyone, everywhere is just making this up and hoping for the best. So as long as you keep trying you’ll be fine.

Definitely, a few different “plug ins” with the paid version offer it. It’s still not perfect, so check the sources, but it gives you sources to check which is great. I always liken using AI to having an intern or an undergraduate assistant. Great for first drafts, always verify the final product.

Also the plug-ins with the paid plan help a lot. For instance the consensus plug in cites and links to real academic papers, still need to check them but it makes the fact checking easier

Currently a VAP and I use it everyday. A couple of use cases: code troubleshooting, perfecting data visualizations, brainstorming ideas. I also use it for writing and planning lectures by writing my first draft and then asking it to make a draft. I then merge the two.

Different tool, but maybe check out some of the visualizations done with tableau. I’m less familiar with how they are built but they’ll also have a lot of options to inspire what you could build

Depending on the level of polish you want, you could build this something like this as a shiny app in R or using streamlit or anvil.works in python.

A cron job (or scheduled task) can be set up to periodically update the data. Definitely something a phd student could do.

To this point I wonder what funding looks like before vs after the Nobel?
