The president constantly lying about stolen elections, after staging a coup attempt, & now threatening to federalize & steal future elections, should be the primary news story in the country 24/7 & on every front page until he is impeached & removed next week.

if ever one needed evidence that press coverage of protests is an effective tool for protestors, the feds just arrested a journalist for covering a protest in MN.
guys the thing about being a decentralized leaderless network is that there are really no clear leaders to consult. what we have seen, though, is that careful press coverage of minneapolis community networks has massively benefited their cause, harmed ICE, and seemingly not led to anyone being IDed.
This has some serious "I tried to circumvent the wishes of organizers and now I'm here to cry about it on bluesky" energy.

I was going to a person's house to buy some of her old furniture but I couldn't find her house on the street, the street was laid out weirdly. Someone pulled over and offered to help me look for whatever I was looking for. People are so nice in this town!

it's so fucking stupid. He-Man's and She-Ra's pronouns are literally a part of their names and have been for generations. If you take away their pronoun-sharing their names become "Man" and "Ra."

The current GOP scandal is "the president probably molested some children" but there are still people attacking Democrats for... not riding their bikes more? And even this thing was faked at the time.

Hard disagree. People are perfectly capable of living good lives and still voting for fascism. In fact, bring privileged IMO is directly correlated with support for fascism because wealth-induced boredom causes people to imagine fanciful ways of losing all their stuff.
Authoritarianism can only succeed when democracy fails to deliver for working people.
Authoritarian parties can only succeed when the pro-democracy parties fail to fight for working people.
We need a new democracy and a new party system which can represent working people.

honestly i think why we are seeing so much discourse about a mayor's race is because it's held on an odd-numbered year. if nyc moved their elections to even years, not sure if most people would even be able to name the mayor of that town.
