Went to see 'One Battle After Another' in 70mm #IMAX, and the theatrical experience was amazing. And as it's a Paul Thomas Anderson film, it has a lot to recommend, but I don't think I loved it at first viewing. I'm going to see it again, so will reevaluate then.

I just got out of seeing Boogie Nights in 70mm at TIFF Lightbox for the first time since it was released almost 28 years ago (I had no idea it was that long ago!) and I was reminded what an fucking fantastic film it is. Why I waited so long to see it again confounds me. #Tiff50 #Filmsky

Tonight was my second time seeing #28yearslater. Brilliant and my favourite film of 2025 after Sinners. Glad I managed to catch it twice on a big screen with great audio, as it sounds fantastic in Atmos. #filmsky

I went to see Jean-Pierre Melville's 1969 film Army of Shadows, introduced by James and Roger Deakins at #TIFF50 tonight, and I'm sorry if I have to be the outlier here, but despite its many merits, it was simply too long and I hate to say it, boring (1/2). #Filmsky

Got to see the definitive 194 min Director's Cut of Kingdom of Heaven in UltraAVX laser tonight for its 1 night-only engagement. It was a treat to see this version on the big screen in 4K as the last time I watched it was on DVD!

My third time seeing #Sinners in #IMAX. The first two times were in 70mm film at the BFI London, and tonight in 1.43:1 GT Laser at the Scotiabank Toronto. What an amazing cinematic achievement.

Went on a long walk yesterday along the St Austell china clay tip trails near the village of Foxhole. Some wonderful views of the Cornish countryside and the bright yellow gorse. #cornwall #claytrails #staustell #foxhole #uk #countryside #landscape

As one does when hiking through the Cornish countryside during Easter, I had to stop for the mandated Cadbury Creme Egg break. #cornwall #uk #trail #countryside #cremeegg

Now I plan to go see #Interstellar again digitally in 1.43:1 IMAX GT Laser at the Scotiabank Theatre. I know it won't have the richness & resolution of film but the contrast in Laser will be better & the sound in that auditorium is superior so I'll really be able to feel the Zimmer organs.

Just saw Interstellar in IMAX 70mm for the third time (2014: Cineplex Scotiabank & 2024: Vaughan), and it was a transcendental experience. There is possibly no better showcase for 1.43:1 aspect (real) IMAX than this film. So many moments of awe. It's the only way I've ever seen #Interstellar #IMAX
