Most of the time the decision to lean in/lean out falls to "what did the people on top tell us to do because the shareholders told them to XYZ." It's a weird place to be. Personally *I* would like to use my work to bolster media literacy and attention span but that's just me...

If I am in public and accidentally tune into someone else's conversation while I'm already in one it breaks my brain in half and I enter AuDHD triage mode. I cannot even BEGIN TO FATHOM having two things playing at once.

I’ve been told to “throw a little narrative at it” and like my guy you severely underestimate how much extra dialogue does not even begin to solve the issue.

When Horizon Forbidden West patched out Aloy's excessive amounts of nags I was in the chorus cheering it. But that was 2022. Now it's 2025 and everyone's attention span is shot, media literacy PERIOD is down, and we are distracted by (waves hand at everything), so a lot of us feel differently!
