I'm deeply uncomfortable complaining about things people make on the internet for no money; I think if you aren't careful you're just making someone feel bad for daring to share something they made. I still think this is true even for things like AI art.

Picked up a random mystery book called “There Goes the Bride” by M.C. Beaton. I think this is a really late entry in this series? It’s ok but two things stand out:
1. Everyone in this whines that they can’t smoke indoors.
2. The main detective is routinely outshined by her assistant.

Postmedia papers put their opinion columns on the front page and it drives me nuts. Wish there was another local paper in Edmonton or Calgary.

Looking around for the right note-taking app. I don’t love using Markdown, but I also don’t like OneNote’s “make a text box anywhere” thing or the way Notion handles lines. Using Obsidian for now because none of this is a big deal, but still.

Culture warring ruined Twitter for me. That's a nice thing to say considering what some people dealt with on there, but seeing constant smarmy knee-jerk responses to everything made me miserable. I'm going to try to avoid contributing to that.
