EEK! I FINALLY genrefied my graphic novels! My students helped place the graphic novel and genre stickers on each book, and then I created the different collections. I have lots of gaps to fill, but now I know where the gaps are. I love it so much!

A8: My favorite read of this year would definitely be "Ten Thousand Tries." This book hit home for me, as it depicts a boy grieving the impending loss of his father from ALS. I lost my grandfather to ALS when I was 10. I needed this book and the mirror that I wasn't alone in my anger. #TLSkyChat

The book "Wild Things: The Joy of Reading Children's Literature as an Adult" reminded me so much of why I love being a librarian and made me so thankful to have parents who were educators. It made me really think about what my childhood would have been like if I had never read to.
