Our unpaid carers do a vitally important job and without them our health service would collapse.
We need to give them more support so they can continue to care for the people they love.

I attended the protest outside of Rockstar North in Edinburgh this evening to stand in solidarity with the more than 30 workers across the UK, including a number of my constituents who have been sacked.

Edinburgh University is facing financial trouble, and the UCU said as many as 1,800 jobs could be at risk.
Our universities are built on the hard work of their staff, and we lose them at our peril.
That's why I raised this issue with the Minister for Higher Education today.

It is clear NHS staff are working under immense pressure right now.
That's why I want to see more investment in social care to help people leave hospital on time and reduce pressures.

One measure I would like to see is for naloxone kits to be located like defibrillators in communities across Scotland to tackle overdoses.

In the budget, Scottish Liberal Democrats secured £4.5m for specialist long Covid support.
For years long Covid sufferers would have been better off moving to England due to the lack of support in Scotland, with this new funding I am hopeful we can begin to turn the corner.

Absolutely amazing visit to Barnton R4 Nuclear Bunker today. The biggest in Scotland being lovingly restored by a community of volunteers, several of whom live on site.

Both test centres in Edinburgh are seeing waits of 24 weeks.
The DVSA have put in place additional measures but now we need to see waiting times cut.
