And while the innocent people on both sides suffer, the leaders of both sides remain in power through fomenting hatred of the other. The Israeli government and Hamas always benefit from the violence, while Israeli citizens suffer from terror attacks and Palestinians suffer oppression and humiliation

I disagree. People are people. I don’t believe in a distinction between “their own people” and all other innocent people. The real problem in the region is that the leadership on both sides benefits from conflict.

Don’t be fooled by (most) porn. It isn’t real and most people who believe it is real are not really having mutually enjoyable sex. Teenagers and 40 year olds who still see the world as teenagers

Early in the current conflict I read a good metaphor. The person posed the challenge, “if a murderer was standing behind your mother and using her as a shield, would you shoot through her in order to stop the murderer?”

I believe those innocents who may be used as “human shields” should be treated like a hostage situation, not ignored in order to stop those who are using them as such.

I just really love the first one. I don’t know if our compositional skills improve. We get better at using equipment and certainly better at editing, but I look back at photos I took years ago and still like the compositions
