It is transparent purple, in true millennial “see-through everything” style 😂😂

My father and my brother are both called Steve and when they go anywhere I use my best Calico Jack voice and say “Come on Steve, don’t go!”

They have no idea why I do it or where it comes from, but I’m secretly thrilled when I get to use it.

Keep in mind I’m in the middle of a children’s lit course 😂😂

They either go way too big (e.g. people who tried to do a Newfoundland accent in Come From Away) or they don’t try an accent at all. Neither of those are winning options.

It’s not even like it’s my first year teaching, but this summer honestly didn’t feel restful; I’ve been grieving and depressed for most of it and was not ready for work to start up again.

Yesterday the online proctoring service wasn’t working and I had to call for support before I could get into my exam (an hour late). So that messed up my whole plan/preparation and I was so frazzled I just know I blew the whole thing. 😭
