Just remembered I still have the photo from our visit at the zoo in Ulm last year, where we also saw some axolotls for the first time in life. Not quite as pretty as the one in your photo, but those guys are just so funny cute 🥰

If it were still divided they'd have a Nazi chancellor by now, yes.
The separation starts to smear though. That's latest polls for state elections, which is not exactly same as federal election, but closely correlated.

So my current assumption is it was a mixture of AI and handcraft in some way, or they have access to a whole new AI model that is capable of keeping a halfway consistent view of the world between generations. I highlighted a few of the things that made me think it was non-AI.
