The odds of the Modi government facing any meaningful consequences for making the median Indian experienced by Anglosphere Internet users be running an AI slop factory, DO NOT REDEEM or attempting to incite a pogrom actually seem less realistic than the "Crimea Beach Party" stuff

The Kolkata farms probably log a lot of translator use nowadays, but surprisingly it's the Turkish stuff that's taken root since there are enough old racist Japanese men on Twitter that really hate Kurds
November 21, 2025 at 8:24 PM
The Japanese language sphere is probably the only part of Twitter that's close to usable nowadays, but Sanseito, the Indian and Turkish states sure are trying their best to change that

It took the wrath of EU laws against IS propaganda to get Facebook and Twitter to do anything about IS gore on their sites. Hard to imagine the EU actually doing something against the rot plaguing both today that would incite nearly the same terror in their executive suites

The Tesla Semi did go on sale to people other than the companies that agreed to lead tests as

It's very definitely an aspiration thing around needing to be seen as having "made it" enough to own a real self driving car. The autonomous bus concept caught on with Matchbox toy cars of all things, and there definitely are fewer complaints about "woke toy cars" than expected

Yes, and the remake is also a lot crazier there than the original

The arguments over autonomous vehicles deciding who lives or who dies in the accident seems pointless when compared to the Perodua Myvi driver going Mach Jesus whose answer is "kill them all, God will sort out his own"

After the fifth time someone who was positively, definitely not from South Korea or resided in South Korea for any amount of time started ranting about how Megalians are the worst thing to have happened to ROK since 1945, yes, yes we are all involuntarily Asian now

I got accepted to a video storytelling workshop on Saturday so there's a good chance I might not, but then my copy of Stieg Larsson, My Friend fell off a box

You would need to find someplace that's appealing to the workforce that will be needed to work on the ships, and in any case it would be a decade or decades long effort reliant on funding and lawmaker support at the state and federal level not drying up

1. There are government owned yards and they face issues around infrastructure and manpower retention due to underinvestment over decades

2. Constellation issues are by this point less about Fincantieri messing up and more NAVSEA being unable to create a Final_Finalv44 list of changes it wants

The callous incompetence of Trump Admin 2 has managed to divert most punditocracy attention from Germany and France's own per-election cycle problems with keeping pro-Russian right wingers out of government, and EU ability to handle pro-Russian types like Orban, Fico and Vucic

A recurring nightmare is having to explain what was going on in the minds of us adults from 2014-the 2030s to some kid 20-30 years from now using a Hot Wheels Tesla, paper printouts of some horrid Substacks, and a poster of Joe Rogan
November 21, 2025 at 12:32 PM
In a cultural moment where faking it until you make it and one-sided parasocial relationships are now the norm, adoring someone for who they actually are rather than how you *imagine* them is now the exception

Even before political streamers and social media happened, a lot of NGO spaces had people with important sounding business card titles insisting that "sanctions" achieved nothing but the torching of shipments of baby formula

The MW2 reboot was Sicario for kids carried by the cast's performances. MW3 put the plot of the original 2 and 3's together in a blender and used the results as dressing on Warzone leftovers

but audience backlash against MW3's bad plot writing did not result in these headlines
November 20, 2025 at 5:11 PM
Looking at what gets submitted to r/comics and r/webcomics definitely raises questions about what exactly audiences who think themselves tasteful actually seek and reward
November 20, 2025 at 5:03 PM
Modern Warfare II derailing from killing legally distinct Soleimani into Sicario for kiddies is probably the point where the first game's writers were screamed at to dial it down. Then Modern Warfare III has Makarov except the ultranationalists are now not-Wagner

This is inseparable from how a lot of gaming's opinion elites got very, very angry over MW19's Highway of Death level not portraying an "American war crime" despite Urzikstan being the least subtle allusion to Russian conduct in the 2nd Chechen War and Syria ever www.hrw.org/legacy/backg...
