True this

Peruvian blueberries in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; is that a new thing, or has that always been an import?

Valerie, every woman should be brave enough to post their picture at age 15. It's a powerful message.

Oh people, what have you done?

I saw this in Malaysia.

I'm old enough to remember Richard Nixon's White House police uniforms--sort of resonates, doesn't it? How soon before Donald Trump tweaks the help's uniforms?

This makes me vomit. 🤮 I'm disenchanted with Presedents as head of state. Maybe Canada should follow Norway and invite some cadet from the Windsors and separate the monarchy. Quebec could find a Bourbon or Napoleon scion to be it's Prince or Princess. Charles has divided loyalties.

You just know Dear Leader has a hard-on for St. George's Hall. This is what he imagines his ballroom will look like. Instead, it will bear as much resemblance to this as the Oval Office looks like the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg. Pigs and silk purses.

Too true

Sort of annoyed that bookstores mix science fiction and fantasy together on the shelves. 🫤

Today is 9/11; I recall the morning. I brought my shock to work that day and tried to make sense of it with my students. This is Gaza today, tomorrow, and into the future. Two million people living their own 9/11. Will their losses be remembered 24 years from now?

Heads up, Crown Royal is shifting bottling to the USA. Canadians are losing jobs. I like the rye, but I’ll pass on this corporate sell-out. Opening a new plant would be fine, but this is moving a plant. 💪🇨🇦

Quote this with a book you read way too young that explains why you are the way you are.

Hahaha, I was going to say, "The Bible".

Yeah, it's rapidly deteriorating here in Saskatoon.

I'm inclined to respond this way, myself. It is getting to the point where I feel America's allies need to stop talking and say, "Best of luck, old friend. Look over your winning hand. If you're missing a card, just ask."

I roll my eyes at the experts exchanging opinions on how to deal with this guy. Every strategy assumes he is competent, thoughtful, and foresighted.

Happy Canada Day!

Meditating on my reactions to 50th High School reunion. Some said, "It seems like yesterday!" -- "Nah, definitely feels like half a century to me."

My father's 50s and 60s collection started me off. This is all that's left after repeated downsizing. Each influenced who I am. Too many more to mention.

I imagine I too will disappear sometime in the next ten years, till then my inner fifhteen-year-old is going to keep hitting the library and downloading Kindle Unlimited books. 🤓

Afternoon bike ride past the northeast swale in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan #retirementstuff

I think the ICE protesters have forgotten the immense power of peaceful protest. The hippies understood. Canada's Convoy in Ottawa had bouncy castles and hot tubs. It's time to party folks, not throw rocks. 😜

My son and family are evacuating La Ronge, Saskatchewan. 😩

Good to know the climate catastrophe was so central to the First Ministers conference in Saskatoon today 🧐 (sarcasm alert)
