I enjoyed The Book of Eels on audio! I had started it in print ages ago and figured I’d finally finish it out this week. Also, Entangled Life. I find I like NF better than fic for audio for some reason, tho I did think Remarkably Bright Creatures was really well done on audio.

A lot of it is also the frustrating lack of distinction for people between nudity and pornography. Just bc it has a tiddy in it doesn’t make it porn. Does a lot of manga have skimpy outfits & nipple outlines? Sure. Is it porn? Hell naw!

I was just thinking about this today. We have a growing number of adults coming in looking for manga for their kids, and many of them ask when I direct them to our teen collection: “ok but is it pornography? Because a lot of it is pornography.” Multiple times just in the last few weeks even.

Absolute chaos gremlins. Well done, children!
