Yes you can say that, it is the browser that does the actual rejection not the server. If a preflight request fails the browser will refuse to send the actual request and throws an cors error. The mechanism to throw cors error is built into the browsers, other api clients don't have that.

So even if some finds some semblance of positivity by these AI companionships it cannot be sustained for long and you cannot predict when these AI will act up or get downright aggressive, won’t this affect the human counterpart causing them to end up in a worse place than they started of?

That is how the industry has always been. Once in a while a huge hit comes around and suddenly you have a success formula, repackage it and sell it until it’s bled out and make a boatload of cash from viewers like us and if we some how end up liking it that’s basically a bonus.
