I write mostly sci-fi/fantasy novels (indie publish) and I currently work for the US Government, editing audit reports. I also edit freelance. If you’re looking for an editor, please hit me up.
And that’s how you get sued.

In one of the movies, Benji encounters some cougars. The vet who cared for those cougars during the filming, lived across the street from my grandparents for several years.

Yeah, no thanks. The nice thing about being indie is I do what I want.

#FirstDraftFall I didn’t end up getting much writing done last week, so I’m in the middle of revising a chapter, which may reveal the big bad. After that, I have a chapter that shouldn’t change much, then it’s new content going forward toward the end.

But he is commenting war crimes. That should count.

#FirstDraftFall I just dive in and get going, no plan, no idea if the story will even work. Sometimes it doesn’t. I write when I can, which isn’t necessarily every day, and I tend to edit as I go. I have to write beginning to end, because I don’t know what happens at point b without writing point a.

Stupid day job. I started the month not working, but since returning, writing has been minimal. :-( I feel you!

#FirstDraftFall I can’t claim this is a first draft, but I do like the name. Anyway, I got through a rough chapter yesterday. I should have an easy one next, then on to complete rewrite and new content. There is progress.

Sorry. There are pros and cons to different ways of publishing, but I think some people get jealous of those who get traditional publishing deals - that can be a real achievement, though it also takes compromise. Either way, we still have to market, which sucks.

Hello! Mostly sci-fi/fantasy. I’m also an editor as well. Double threat!

The recent humpback that washed up on the Oregon coast was used by Native Americans - they had a ceremony to cut it up, providing internal organs to scientists, taking useable portions burying contaminated bits, and leaving some bits for animals.

I usually find that it's not really writer's block, as much as something went wrong, or I'm not sure how to get where I want to go. It feels like I need to step back, reassess, and figure out how to proceed in a more effective way. Sometimes it takes a minute or three.

I can’t find one of the actual memes, but the ones saying Trump is the first LGBTQ + President. He probably isn’t actually, but saying it would certainly piss him off.

The ponies came up to visit today. They were very disappointed we obeyed the signs not to feed or touch them. We were a little disappointed too.

It has become acceptable to end sentences with prepositions. You’re okay. :-) Thanks for the editor love! We enjoy helping you excel.
