I don't mean to discredit the people who make these videos. I'm sure there are studies that prove this. But at the same time, I always question the overall message.

Don't just shoot people down because you think they "don't understand". You would be surprised what you can learn from people, even if they're not the most tech-literate. Knowledge and intellect doesn't equate to how familiar you are with the internet. (2/2)

As someone who's worked with industry professionals, if you want to show your support and respect for a creator, don't pretend you're their best friend or speak on their behalf. They see it, and they don't like it. (3/4)

Especially when said creator has never indicated or spoken out about a given topic. Your perception of them is based on their work and a handful of things they've said in interviews. You can learn parts about them, sure. But that doesn't mean you KNOW them. (2/4)
