I absolutely overthought that part. I was scraping w/ a blade, burning it, etc. Then tried a 220 grit sanding sponge but that was tedious.
Vigorous stroking with 120 grit and I was off to the races. My main issue was not enough flux to make data and power connections.
I’m SO good at it now.
