Starzzy was more than happy to fill up the profiteroles. I don't know what he plans to do with the extra cream.

Jimmingbird's only involvement was licking chocolate drippings from the plate. If they want any profiteroles, they'll clean the dishes first!

I'm very happy with how my profiteroles turned out!

I added espresso powder to both the cream filling and chocolate topping, which added nice hints of coffee flavor.

Second, Jim had been pushed overboard by Stede on accident. They were behind the man when he jumped back all of a sudden to avoid detection by another guard. Jim managed to hold onto the side of the vessel without making too much noise, but didn’t want to risk coming back up. Annoyed, they signaled for backup with a flag from their pocket, but Izzy and the crew would take some time to arrive from the Revenge. Finally, when Stede had managed to enter the hold, the enemy ship’s captain was right there! He spared Stede’s life, but kept him tied to the ceiling in his cabin. Dangling by ropes cutting into his wrists, Stede waits for his crew to rescue him. Shouting and the loud sounds of gunfire and clashing iron are heard from the deck. The ship’s captain leaves Stede behind to join the fight, confident that he’s unable to escape. Each minute that ticks by increases Stede’s anxiety. Is his crew winning? How many more enemies are left? Will anyone be able to find him? At last, a chorus of whoops and shouts from voices Stede recognizes reaches his ears. The Revenge crew is victorious! Stede sighs in relief. He hears the tell-tale thumps of a wooden leg and leather boot approaching the door of the cabin and his heart skips a beat. Sure enough, his first mate opens the door, rolling his eyes upon seeing his foolish captain bound behind an ornate wooden desk. “Izzy! Oh, thank heavens you’re here! Quick, untie me, please!” Stede begs. He’s too excited to be embarrassed by the current predicament he’s in. Izzy purses his lips and looks the blonde man over. He feigns disregard, “Don’t think I ought to, Bonnet.” “What? Of course you ought to!” Stede insists, dumbfounded. Fancy striped orange fall-front trousers. His eyes are roaming up and down Stede’s body. “Tell me, Bonnet,” Izzy is face-to-chest with Stede, “Why the f*ck did you think you could pull off this little scouting job? You still think you’ve got something to f*cking prove?” Stede blushes and stammers, “No, yes, I-I don’t know.” “Hmph. Right,” Izzy pulls the chair from under the desk behind him, turns it around, and lowers himself onto it with a groan. He’s eye-level with the flap of Stede’s fall-front breeches. “It’ll be a while ‘til the crew finish looting the place,” Izzy strokes his gloved hand up and down Stede’s left thigh through the cloth. Stede gulps. This intimacy between Izzy and himself isn’t new per se, but it’s a shock anytime the gruff man initiates it. Izzy continues, “You need to learn some f*cking restraint. Respect your elders, and whatnot.” “Are you going to lecture me? Seriously? I did it! I finally made a decent Wigan kebab!

The bun is store-bought, but the small meat and potato pie is homemade and I mushed the peas myself.

This is a tiny achievement, but I am so very proud to have finally gotten it right!

We filled the pumpkin with Swiss and Gruyère cheeses, a heavy cream and spice mixture, and the toasted baguette cubes in layers, then covered the outside with oil and roasted it.

Starzzy was rather happy to be the taste tester. I don’t blame him; the roasted pumpkin and fondue smell so delicious!
