Like is he going to be forced from office? No absolutely not. But I lived through second term Bush, which was the equivalent of political hospice for 3.5 years. This can very easily turn into that.

So with that Zohran *earned* my first place vote over the course of this campaign. I’m going to look to get some volunteer time in for him this week and push him over the finish line. This js the greatest city on Earth, it’s time it had a Mayor that actually loves it.

Ultimately the question you have to ask about someone asking for your vote is “Do they care about people like me?” I believe Zohran (and the others I’ve mentioned) do, I do not think the same of Cuomo. I think he’s driven by his own demons and insecurity, little else. He doesn’t care about my kid.

He’s going to have very smart people willing to help him, and the very little firsthand knowledge I have of his character and personality leaves me satisfied he wouldn’t cut off his nose to spite his face politically. Beyond that, he’s walked in our shoes. He knows what living here is. Cuomo doesn’t

At this point I don’t worry about his ability to staff an administration at the cabinet or agency levels, he has won over enough converts within the broad Professional Liberal Progressive Class that he will have his pick of capable people. He will be fine.
