I actually loved this show despite a few shortcomings it has. You are in for something incredible in the second half.

He appears as a couple ages and, um, versions of self in FoF and looks completely different in every aspect just in that show alone. In the early eps, as Zhu Yan the show does a very good job of making him look uncannily inhuman.

Fangs of Fortune is gaayyyyyy and super super super theatrically dramatic and really stunningly, beautifully shot. The Best Thing is very sweet and low angst and warm and comforting and veryyy heterosexual. The Legend of the Female General is actiony and complex and faintly accidentally gay.

I actually loved both! But TBT brings endless soothing calm and LFG stressed me out some, so that's how I decided. But I expect CL will get more votes than ZLH from western audiences.
