I'm making a bigger deal out of this than I should be. Just putting this out here I guess, maybe it's my way of making sure no one makes an incorrect assumption about my intentions (which is impossible anyway, so this is all stupid)

I'm terrible at "friendships" in general, I guess that's my problem 😭 I see artists' work as just that, if I follow someone it means I wanna see more of it, period. Nothing more, nothing less. Vice versa if I don't or I unfollow. Especially on YouTube, like u don't watch CNN if you dislike it, right

..I'm definitely overthinking this, but I'm afraid to stop lol. I know *I* don't see producers who comment on my work as attention seekers at all, if anything I'm flattered, still. Anxiety ig.
It's also why I get stressed out when someone follows me back. Like no I didn't want that! I just like you!

😭 god this all sounds manipulative. I'm just an overthinker. I haven't experienced this as a producer, but as someone who's been posting drawings online almost 10 years ik it can suck to get support that's secretly sb wanting engagement. Not that it's bad to do f4f if that's your thing, but not me

It's half about the way they see my intentions and half about how seriously they'll take my compliment. If I say "your song sounds awesome i love this!!" as a producer it may look like I'm trying to network or wtv. But if some rando with a normal ass name and no content comments, it reads as genuine
