Correction: Apparently this doesn’t apply for your Following feed, so it won’t work if you’re following @bsky.app or if someone you follow reposts them. Sorry about that

(I feel like if more people could understand that other languages matter, too, we wouldn’t be where we are today, so I don’t have a lot of faith there)

They’ve posted in Japanese twice, and last time I felt like they deserved the “why are you posting in a foreign language” pile-on because they inexplicably had it set to English. I think maybe they should either have separate accounts or extend the Content Languages settings to Following feeds

Tried experimenting and dammit, you’re right. Thanks for letting me know. I better go apologize to that person.

Select “English” under “Content Languages” at the bottom here bsky.app/settings/lan... and you’ll only see posts in English, in theory. (This only works if the user is posting from an app that lets them set the post language and if they actually pick the right one. It should hide this post)

Attorney reveals conditions at ICE facility holding 5-year-old boy and his father:

"The families are not allowed to leave their dorms today. That is extremely unusual. I've never heard of that happening before. And they're trying to prohibit the children inside from exercising their free speech"

Is it bothering people again that I’m posting/reposting so much news-related stuff? I should probably start using a different service for that
