And I say this as a child of an immigrant of an immigrant family from two different cultures. Thank goodness my folks did not bring no extreme conservatism with them to this country.

A lot of cultures outside of America are conservative just as some of the cultures within America are.
I don’t know why ppl presume immigrants are socially progressive when many are only here for economic opportunity, not social freedom & they still want to perpetuate their conservative bullshit.

Progressives like to talk about immigration as if it only brings benefits to America & the Democratic Party tries to operate as if it’s the natural political home for immigrants, particular black and brown immigrants.

We need to be honest about the fact that immigration is not *only* upside and presents challenges.
Not all people that immigrate to this country believe in democracy, women’s rights, LGBTQ rights, & many immigrants including black immigrants are anti-black.
That’s how you end up with that guy.

The frightening thing about the Gilgo Beach murders is that multiple people dumped bodies there. Rex Heuermann wasn’t the only one operating in that area.
