Airbus says it’s a data corruption problem, but it’s not clear to me how a software upgrade solves that. Solar radiation damage seems like a hardware issue. I’m eager to know more. -max

I’m surprised how many people I run across who think “chemtrails” are real. These are not conspiracy-minded wing-nuts. Just seemingly average people. It’s discouraging. -max

Perpetual question: preserve and protect or keep airworthy and fly. Me: If the specific airframe is historically noteworthy (Enola Gay), keep safe in a museum. Same if only a few examples of the type exist. Otherwise, keep flying them.
