the peace police at the peaceful protest peacefully opening fire in a crowd to peacefully gun down bystanders bc they got scared of someone who they thought might be a "provocateur" is exactly why those fucking conspiracy theories & rumors of "outside agitators" are fucking dangerous

oh ffs, that's never promising

Yayyy! And mostly insane minecraft nonsense, tbh

Okay, sure! I can't speak to "queervoid", but i interpreted "faggotbrained" in the context of the thread: not as an attack on "faggots", but on those obsessed with them, particularly with regards to things faer says about denial of the way they suffer from misogyny.
June 13, 2025 at 11:47 PM
I said further down; I don't care if you agree with or even *like* someone, but I genuinely feel like you're misrepresenting someone as a homophobe, and you're not making any sort of defence for it other than "bad vibes".
June 13, 2025 at 11:44 PM
I'm not! I'm frustrated that you seem to have accused someone of something they didn't say, and you are avoiding very direct questions about whether you even read the thread in question before you called someone a homophobe! Like if you'd said "yes, here's why I think it's homophobic" then sure!
June 13, 2025 at 11:44 PM
Okay, where did the thread say that?
June 13, 2025 at 11:36 PM
Explain what you're not understanding about what I've said.
June 13, 2025 at 11:36 PM
I'm not saying you have to agree with Talia; I'm not saying you have to like faer. I am saying that directly accusing someone of homophobia and anti-effeminacy off a single, out-of-context screenshot is shitty!
June 13, 2025 at 11:32 PM
If you screenshot - not even quote! - the first tweet of a thread, you are removing it from the context of that thread.

The other context you have apparently pointed out is "trust us she said bad things before".
June 13, 2025 at 11:29 PM
If you can't get how "this person has ideological disagreements with other queers" does not automatically deserve monstering by others, then sure.
June 13, 2025 at 11:24 PM
It's not a question of how one *reads* a post, though, really - even if I agreed with you about the vagueness - it's the choice of removing it from context and accusing the poster of homophobia, all under the guise of being sad about attacks against other queers.
June 13, 2025 at 11:22 PM
So it's not homophobia, you just don't like what you interpret as edgy vagueposting.

Wow, seems weird to call someone a homophobe based on that.
June 13, 2025 at 11:17 PM
Meryl has not actually made a point; he's taken a tweet out of context and accused someone of homophobia based on vibes.
June 13, 2025 at 11:15 PM
That'd be a weird thing to say if this thread was agreeing with and expanding on a thread about how queer culture has a problem with effemophobia. Which, like, it is.
June 13, 2025 at 11:14 PM
Both can be true! Still not sure how her suggesting that it's bad to suggest effeminate men aren't also subject to societal misogyny is homophobia!
June 13, 2025 at 11:09 PM
I mean you've decided she's strawmanning and being vague, as opposed to the idea that... she's just addressing specific theory? The theory that she referenced in the first tweet?

Also! Still not homophobia.
June 13, 2025 at 11:04 PM
That didn't answer my question.

Did you read the thread about a type of queer epistemology before you decided to accuse a trans woman of homophobia? Because I'm interested in what, in that thread, you felt was homophobic.
