Just a bit of the nature channel: “Here we see the human tending to its masters, who speak amongst themselves in a language of light."

Baroness were incredible tonight. I am a die-hard Red freak, and getting to see it live felt like a gift. A quieter moment:

And well, I didn't care for the first album much, but everything else by Kyuss just killed.

But I also really liked Stoner Witch.

And then there’s the first 5 Tori Amos albums. I was kind of a freak in the Grunge years. I liked AIC, saw Soundgarden too early in their career, and wasn’t impressed. I liked them a lot later. Nirvana never moved me. My favorite ‘Seattle’ album from that time period is Inhaler. Still a killer.

There’s actually a kind of big list for me from the 90s. Just straight-up hard rock from Scandinavia hit a lot of high points just in the late 90s. I still listen to these two a lot.

Post a perfect album from the
90s that isn't Nirvana, Pearl Jam
Soundgarden, or Alice In Chains

North Star, and the big maple. Talking about animism and ancestors. I will, in the future, always require a very large tree if I am going to speak in public. It just adds a certain something, I think. Photo by @ddamascenaa.bsky.social

Before you give in to hopelessness, have you considered setting it all on fire?
July 22, 2025 at 9:18 PM
I spoke publicly on magic in a live setting this weekend at the fantastic North Star gathering. This is me in a very different state than when I drove up 20 hours before. By this time, I had realized much of my social anxiety was being around the wrong people. These folks are all the right people!
