Not the actor from Star Wars, Dr Who, or The Tweenies - asking me trivia on any of these risks fabricated replies.
Open to exchanging opinions on Leeds, music, politics, Age of Sail navy, and vague memories of the 20th century.
Piroe always looks ineffectual - that’s his style ;)

We didn’t moan when he got dropped because we were desperately hoping the new signings would turn out to be gems.

Ah well, hat trick for Willy at the weekend I imagine…then a plucky loss to Chelsea and then massacred by a resurgent Liverpool.

Everyone saying Season One was great….it was. Apart from the terrible, terrible ending - that was the first major series I got into that had no resolution. I didn’t watch the second series because I’m not Charlie Brown with Lucy’s football*.

*not a real football, balls are round.

We’ve got the grim legacy of knowing what the right manager can do to an underperforming squad - I’m not expecting anyone else to replicate Bielsa’s 2018 transformation of a mediocre team, but it doesn’t stop me wishing.

We were unlucky with injuries to James & Gnonto, especially for a couple of games we needed to win, but I think this squad can do better if they’re allowed to. Piroe has had a raw deal - Okafor & DCL got bought in, but I don’t think they’re better than what we had and Brendan isn’t a threat.

Do you think this might be a bit of a ”what would make the fans happy” brainstorming?

Kalvin is an illustration of the difference a manager can make to a player. I think our squad ought to be far more competitive than we are, and I’d love to see someone bring the best out of them.

The *first* profile on the BBC’s “how the budget impacts real people” was the couple earning £100k that won’t be able to stuff their cash ISA as much as they want…

It’s not like anyone’s taking their money away! They might have to pay a bit of tax on a bit of it, if they put it into savings.

Oh yes, all the while telling her would-be rescuers to fuck off.

There was a woman in Gloucester a while ago that reacted badly to her driving being criticised - followed the other driver, crashed into her when she parked, and spun her wheels until her car caught fire.
She burned to death, despite the people trying to get her out. Terrifying level of anger.

My youngest went to see Space in Newcastle a couple of weeks back, and on Friday we’re off to see All Shall Perish. Young folks’ range of influences is insane compared to the tribalism of my youth - first track when he connects Bluetooth in the car could be Bauhaus, Billy Joel or Big Special.

Ah, the Dead Bod Maru…

French bread, violent English mustard, slices of scotch egg.

Chicken yes, ham no, beef no, egg mayo no, cheese & pickle no, tomato no, scotch egg yes (but not when I’m French bread), Marmite no, bovril & cheese yes, pate yes…not being prescriptive, just thinking out loud…

Turkey, ham, stuffing, cranberry sauce, bacon, cheese…triple deck lightly toasted.

Yeah, they’ll shit themselves when they see Willy coming on in the 93rd minute…

Oceangate Titan Submarine, but in bricks…

Seems very blinkered and conventional be starting from the ground up - no vision.

He needs to do submarines next.

There’s a story one of her security detail told about meeting some tourists while walking near Balmoral. Chatting away, one of them asked her if she lived locally; when she said yes, had she ever met the Queen? “No” she said, pointing at the cop, “but he has”.

They asked him loads of questions.

I’m disappointed not to find any “It’s an AFV!!” content here yet…

There can’t be many bands that cover two tunes from the same album, in the same setlist (apart from The Bootleg Beatles perhaps).
