I never got the hate for D-max/G-max; When you look at history of Pokémon, some of the biggest inspirations not only for designs, but for features in the franchise came from kaiju-themed shows... if anything, it should've been done earlier!

You can't judge or look at urban development in Lumiose like how you'd look at urban development in any real life city, because our worlds are way too different to compare.

These Wild Zones exist as a reactive, protective measure to an extreme situation the city was subjected to.

We're talking about a world where literal GODS who control life, death, time, space, among other things, live among people. That mere circumstance already dramatically changes the dynamic of how that world works.

And that's not mentioning how every animal has freaking super powers.
