Here for sports (Detroit, U of Michigan, Tottenham, USL2/USLW), music (metal, progressive, etc) and politics. And a healthy dose of the random.

Oh, huh, wow, haha...reactions running through my head as I find out an hour later that Spurs actually managed to steal a draw from Newcastle, on a bicycle kick from Romero, on one of the least powerful bicycle kicks ever, but hey who cares because it went in, and we steal a point we didn't deserve.

Jonathan Smith's record at Michigan State over his two years was twice as good (9 w 15 L) as Pat Fitzgerald's last two years at Northwestern (4 W 20 L), before he got bounced for the rampant hazing going on in Evanston, which he claims to know nothing about.

If I were the Mississippi AD, I'd make a statement about how a Mississippi man will lead the Mississippi football team, and hope he can channel Bo Schembechler talking about Steve Fisher on the verge of the 1989 NCAA Men's basketball tournament.

So LSU goes from Brian Kelly who's never really won anything as a head coach to Lane Kiffin, a backstabbing bastard who has also never won a single thing in his head coaching career.

Nice move to get past the first guy, but then the Auburn receiver fumbles away any chance at an upset. Alas.

How does a team go 1-7 in the SEC only having committed 6 turnovers all season?

Fuck these cheating fucking refs, bailing Alabama out AGAIN on yet another failed third down.
November 30, 2025 at 4:02 AM
Ticky tack call bails out Bama on 3rd down.

Pistons salvage a bit from a crappy sports day for me, outlasting the heat in the end.

Maybe Auburn inject a bit of mayhem into the CFP to close the day out? Tied with ~12 to go in the 4th.

Whitecaps look well on their way to a MLS Cup final date with Inter Miami. Muller vs Messi, just like league execs may have dreamed of when the German went to Canada.

Wings tie it up! Pulling the goalie late finally works like you hope it does!

2 minutes to find a regulation winner.

Spurs had 20 points under Ange on December 1 2024. We've got 18 under Frank on December 1 2025. Is this improvement? Just 1 point ahead of Fulham in 15th.

Snap shot from Kudus with his left, and he catches Leno maybe looking for the cross. There's one back. Get the equalizer!

On that reverse angle...why is that even a yellow card for Van De Ven? He was actually right to yell at Anderson for folding like a cheap suit.

Ryan Day improves to 2-4 against Michigan.

I wait to watch one more futile michigan drive, ending in a third and long check down they gains zero yards, before switching over to Spurs v Fulham, and what do you mean Spurs are down two goals within the first 7 minutes???
November 29, 2025 at 8:11 PM
Cheating ass refs...OK they let Barham stay in the game, but they've now awarded Ohio State two phantom Touchdowns, and replay only took one away.
November 29, 2025 at 6:13 PM
That should be a touch back, he's fumbling the ball as he crosses and he lands out of bounds!
November 29, 2025 at 6:11 PM
Michigan leading at the end of the first quarter is not something I was expecting to see. And yet...it could have been so much better.

Both teams had to settle for FGs, and Michigan is up 2-1 in that statistic.

How the fuck do the refs call a touchdown on the field when Saylin is a full yard short???

"Life just be that way, I guess."

Jumped on HBO Max's black Friday deal of 12 months at $3/month for the ad supported tier. First thing I'm watching is the first episode of The Wire, and that world weary quote is dropped very early in the episode.

Maybe I'll finally watch Game of Thrones??

Fffffuuuuuuucccccckkkkkk

This game is going to be remembered in Wisconsin as the Wicks game. Dude had a ridiculous game and seals it on a catch where he loses his shoe.

The Packers threw on that third down???
November 27, 2025 at 9:14 PM
Terrian Arnold getting absolutely cooked by Christian Watson on that crucial third down is all too indicative of his career so far.
