Connecticut Attorney General, dad, fly fisher. Love food, especially local food.
Today we announced a $714,446 settlement with dental practices that paid unlawful fees to recruit Medicaid patients.
Ivan Makar and Oleg Losin, the owners of Dent Plus and L&M, allegedly paid a third-party patient recruiting company $135 for each CT Medicaid patient the company referred to them.

The Public Utilities Regulatory Authority denied the sale of Aquarion. This sale would doubled water bills for 700,000 Connecticut customers and gutted public oversight and consumer protections. This deal was a costly loser for CT families, and I urged PURA to reject this deal.

The court has confirmed our $7.4B settlement with #PurduePharma. The Sacklers are permanently exiled from the addiction industry. No money can undo the damage, but this settlement is a promise that we will keep fighting for victims, families, treatment, and prevention. #opioidcrisis #Connecticut

Proud to stand with Sierra Club of CT during their “Yes to Wind” Week of Action to highlight the importance offshore wind. Revolution Wind was fully approved and almost done when Trump issued his baseless stop work order. We sued and got it back on track to deliver clean energy. #Connecticut

I'm joining a coalition of attorneys general to urge the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia to uphold an order to halt the Trump's Administration's flawed "expedited removal" process. This process is putting Americans at risk for unlawful detention & deportation without due process.

On this Veterans Day, we're honoring those who answered the call and the families who make their service possible.

We've got grave public safety concerns regarding Ruger's semi-automatic pistols that can be easily converted using machine gun conversion devices into illegal fully automatic weapons as fast or faster than those deployed by the military.

Shortly after midnight, we filed for a temporary restraining order to block the Trump Administration from demanding that states “undo” SNAP benefits already paid out to millions of Americans.
November 10, 2025 at 11:54 AM
Important update. SNAP is FULLY FUNDED in Connecticut as of today. The state has given assurance that it will backstop payment should the Trump administration persist in its callous effort to starve American families for political leverage.
November 8, 2025 at 7:46 PM
Donald Trump is intentionally starving American families for political leverage.
November 7, 2025 at 8:07 PM
Breaking news. Court order JUST came in ordering Trump to fully fund SNAP this month.
November 6, 2025 at 9:42 PM
We are back to court today to force Donald Trump to fully fund SNAP and to stop the President from purposely and illegally starving American families for political leverage.
November 6, 2025 at 9:13 PM
SCOTUS will hear oral arguments this morning in our case challenging the Trump tariffs. It’s time for the Supreme Court to stand up to this president, protect the rule of law, and stop this damaging economic war for good.
November 5, 2025 at 2:04 PM
Court orders are non-optional. It’s clear that Donald Trump has no grasp of what is going on in his own White House beyond marble bathrooms and grotesque ballrooms, and no concern for the needless suffering he is inflicting on American families, including millions of his own supporters.

Donald Trump and Linda McMahon want to impose an illegal MAGA litmus test on billions of dollars in loan forgiveness for public servants. This is cruel, this is wrong, this is against the law, and we’re suing to stop it.
November 4, 2025 at 12:44 AM
Trump is choosing to partially fund SNAP and continue to weaponize hunger for political gain. He is purposely and illegally starving American families for political leverage.
November 3, 2025 at 6:44 PM
Honored to be on the court at Madison Square Garden with the NY Knicks representing AAPI Night.
November 3, 2025 at 12:34 AM
Donald Trump has a stark legal and moral choice before him— he can keep fighting this losing battle, he can insist on starving American families for political leverage, or he can release the funds now.
October 31, 2025 at 8:00 PM
This decision leaves no room for doubt— USDA can and must release the contingency funds and stop weaponizing hunger for political advantage.
October 31, 2025 at 7:54 PM
I just announced next steps in our grocery pricing inquiry.
October 30, 2025 at 3:51 PM
We’re suing, we’re winning, and we’re going to keep fighting for as long as it takes to protect our state and our families, and to stop Trump from illegally funneling our funds to his vanity projects and tax breaks for billionaires.

The decision by PURA today to increase rates by $66 million for United Illuminating is disappointing news for Connecticut families.
October 28, 2025 at 8:06 PM
Trump is weaponizing hunger to starve his political opponents into submission. He is stealing food from hungry Connecticut families—it’s unconscionable, unlawful, and we’re going to court today to free these funds.

It’s another day, and we just stopped another bad actor here in the Office of the Attorney General.

Kosta Diamantis abused the public trust and will be held accountable. We are monitoring the criminal proceeding closely and are actively considering all options to fully protect the state’s interests and taxpayer dollars.
