You're absolutely right; the millions of us will continue to enjoy the game while others insist we shouldn't because we're somehow being exploited :)

scrutiny anymore. Most of those ships people paid for are now fully functional and in-game. I mean, unless you’ve actually played the game yourself, are you sure it’s fair to be condemning it?

I think that’s the problem; they did deliver on a lot of what they pitched. Fully functional FPS, dozens of full-sized planets people can get out and walk on and explore, tons of missions, tons of flyable ships. This idea that they haven’t delivered on promises just doesn’t hold up to…

to do. They only recently starting earning much more annually BECAUSE of that. Dev time vs cost is actually very reasonable given other titles. Its just that its easy to earn clickbait revenue from publishing negative "its a scam" articles, so many authors just take the easy way out and cash in.

The company did not just "raise $1B" all at once; they started off much smaller, with a much smaller team and much smaller ambitions. As it grew, as they developed it, as players were able to play it, they were able to earn more and reinvest into game development and greatly expand what they aim...

they have made the game playable and enjoyable in its current state and have shown real, legitimate, tangible progress towards an end product that greatly EXCEEDS what was originally promised. All you have to do is watch some of the gameplay on YouTube and you might start to understand for yourself.

..its current state and people feel confident that its on the right track. Most of these articles are capitalizing on negativity and choose to ignore what millions of people see for themselves first-hand. Other games have failed to deliver and have evaporated, yet SC is still here; that's because...

Well, I mean - being frustrated just because it's "still in alpha" still doesn't really make sense; its a playable game that has not only delivered on many of its core promises, but has exceeded them. There is no mass psychosis here; people are contributing money because it's actually enjoyable in..

I was able to play last night with a group of my friends - as I have for years now - and take this epic selfie after an op we did :)

Because if you just want to put those words in a sentence in that order, of course it sounds like a scam. But there are millions of people who play the game as it is and enjoy it very much, so if that bothers you maybe find out why?

Would you happen to know if it's available for download in its raw form? I'd love to find a way to integrate it into MyRadar. I've reached out to the agency there, but understandably I'm sure they have their hands full at the moment.

Could you point me to where you got the Jamaican radar data?
October 29, 2025 at 2:34 PM
Another followup with details; the wind data you see is a "forecast" that's as close-to-now as possible, but the data is only released every 6 hours (the region is not covered by the HRRR in that region, which has a higher update frequency, so we're using the GFS for that data), so there's lag.
October 28, 2025 at 2:33 PM
The winds are based on a model and can be delayed, the satellite imagery ("radar") is also slightly delayed, and from a different data source, with a different interval. We could make up fake data, but I suspect that wouldn't be good either.

Where did you get this image?

We should turn it into a combination J6 memorial and museum to remember what happened to the country when we let down our guard and elected a felon with declining cognitive capacity for a second time, allowing oligarchs to use him at their whim.

…progress in the last couple of years and as a result, playtime stats are way up with its player base, as is funding, and while a lot of people are understandably anxious to play a finished game, a lot of players are enjoying what’s there now.
