Some folks know that I'm not at all the biggest fan of this idea, both in terms of believing both have better matches and not liking the dynamics. That in mind? HOLY SHIT. They did both of my childhood icons more than enough justice here. Might be one of my new favorites.

I decided to pick up the Demon Days series after learning about Sai, and the story here is really cool. I love the reinterpretation of various Marvel characters into Oni and Yokai, especially Thor and Storm as Raijin and Fujin. Mariko seems like a pretty cool character too.

Honestly this movie has a vibes that came out late 90s, early 2000s. Story is simple but enjoyable enough. Honestly the thing that got my attention the most was the cast. Tom Hanks, Cedric the Entertainer, George Takei, and Bryan Cranston, and a ton more I wasn’t expecting.

I'm gonna be honest, I came in expecting this to be an eldritch horror story, but it's a lot more lighthearted than I expected. The art design is really cool for this one-shot, and reminds me a lot of Chainsaw Man with its Devils.

I'm usually too much of a coward to get into horror series, but the concept of this one interested me a lot, especially with how it used the nature of the blight's limits to make it even more horrifying even when you know how to get around it. Definitely gonna keep following.

As someone who has no stake in either franchise, I gotta admit, they got me hooked. They went all-out in throwing everything and the kitchen sink at you! AND THE QTE! THE GODDAMN QTE!
I'm not the most hyped for the next time, but if it's half as good as this? Amazing.

They really spent nearly four minutes of this fight setting up the premise.
This is not a complaint.
Genuinely, though, I love how they let this battle cook for as long as it needed to. The combat was amazingly well done and they went insane with visuals. RIP DJ Ben.

I love the visual aesthetics of this game as well as the general idea of 'various monsters and creatures of Mexican horror films in a fighting game'. The audio of the game does have some issues, and there is some clipping, but it's worth the price.

I know I’ve been a bit negative the last two episodes, but for the 200th? This is a damn fine showing. The animation is clean, the analysis is fun and HOLY SHIT THE SOUL ADAGIO SCENE MADE ME POP OFF. Glad I’ve stuck with this series for so long. Happy 200th, folks.

A decent mystery that’s dragged down by the fact that most of the cast goes on a ‘back in my day’ rant about how more people need to be institutionalized, and the one character who doesn’t is the murderer. Values dissonance aside, it just feels repetitive to read after a while.

Honestly I feel that this fight is more a story of Hulk defeating Godzilla rather than a crossover battle, which I feel hurts it a bit. It had nice character moments for Hulk but the action felt lacking. The fact that Banner was the deciding factor is cool though.

God comic book movies are so back. The aesthetics of this movie are great and help it feel like its own universe with how much worldbuilding is done. The character dynamics are great with how interconnected the First Family is. Also Ben is the best part, as expected.

While I’m not a fan of the first chapter twist, I like how they manage to let Jack keep his menace and edge from RoR while still putting in a situation where you can root for him. The man’s just here to fuck people up and watch the pretty colors, and honestly? Respect.

The characterization here is as on point as it is in the main series, and I love how unique the powers are in this series has compared to main canon. I’m really hoping the battles get less one-sided though, they feel way too short to display the cast.

Honestly, while this fight is objectively one of the prettiest Death Battles we’ve had, I just don’t have any feelings toward this battle. It’s not bad by any metric, I just can’t really say anything about it stood out to me compared to the rest of the season.

This is my first time with both a TMNT game and a Beat-Em-Up, and honestly? A great first experience. The animation and music in this game is perfect, and while it’s definitely not easy, it’s DAMN satisfying. The Dimensional Shellshock DLC is freaking hard but worth it.
