I grew up in the same places as these folks, in the same culture, but you're not going to find me with one of these on the car. At some point you choose to want to hurt the other instead of helping. These are adults capable of critical thinking, but they gave it up to feel "tough" and "manly".

Now? We're about to celebrate our first anniversary, and planning our future, together, as best we can in the face of a world on fire. I couldn't pick a better partner if I tried. And all because of that little orange swirl.

Absolutely wild to me that I get paid to design and prototype things like this, then show regular people how to do it. Wishing a little that it was my first job and not my second. Watching nothing become something will always be incredibly powerful to me.

I have been struggling with 3d modeling for a long time. Something about it has been just out of my reach for years and it's been maddening. Tonight, after several iterations, I was able to create a Thing, and while small, I am very proud of it.

Learning to live with a blind dog, as the blind dog learns to be blind. Glad we're doing this as a family of animals and people. Our boy Frank deserves that much.
