I have no idea how they animated the kids show Gigantosaurus (seems like maybe 3D made to look like 2D Flash?) but it is quite gorgeous.

If we blow off our family and kids, we *could* stay in NYC another 8 hours and see Waiting for Godot today. 👀

I haven’t been to NYC since the last few Spider-Man movies have come out, and it just re-enforces the fact that Spider-Man not swinging through the city just isn’t Spider-Man.

In early prototyping, one of the go-to temp assets we used to test out new bitmap features in Destiny 1 was a bunny with a stack of rainbow pancakes on its head.
It also misses a HUGE opportunity for dev whimsy.

I remember working on Magic: Duels and badly photoshopping tropical print shirts onto placeholder planeswalkers key art while waiting for the full-res files to come in. Because, y'know, we wanted it to be VERY OBVIOUS it wasn't final
Stop using AI for placeholder assets.
Use sketches. Use lorem ipsum. Use bright pink materials. Use programmer art for fucks sake, literally anything else.
If your studio is using AI even for temp, even if they think they've covered their tracks, SPEAK UP because people WILL FIND IT

I love all these classic LEGO cars. I may need to fix part of this one though…

I just watched Revenge of the Sith for maybe the first time since it was in theaters (maybe 1st time since home video release.)

It really does have quite a few amazing set pieces.

And Ian McDiarmid owns that movie. Hammy, dramatic, great change-ups between aspects of his character.

Thus begins the annual tradition of downloading shows/movies to the iPad that I definitely won’t watch on the trip.

I’ve been loving this new MicroProse(!) game “Cleared Hot”. It scratches a nostalgic itch that hasn’t been scratched for a while.
