Grew some Cherokee Purples this year and tonight they went into the soup. Which was delicious.

I think this might have been the most mind-boggling part of Trump's speech this morning. Truly a master class in dementia-damaged what-the-fuckishness.

...to Trump, legal distinctions don't matter. What matters is imagery - the explosion that makes him look tough and sends a message. He wants you to know that if you're on his enemies list, he's willing to use the military to make you disappear, whether it's inside of an unmarked van or in the fiery aftermath of a missile strike.

Here's the statement from Tulsa Public Schools re: the mandated moment of silence for Charlie Kirk. Sorry, Charlie, no special silence for you.
Tulsa Public Schools adheres to the existing state accreditation mandate for a daily moment of silence for all students and staff at the start of each school day. Tomorrow, September 16, we will continue this practice. Our priority is to minimize disruption to the learning environment and therefore we will maintain our regular schedule.

Just received this from an Oklahoma teacher and I am fucking livid. It cuts off at the bottom but appears to be from Ryan Walters.
Email that reads: "Dear Superintendents and Staff, In light of the recent tragedy, every school in Oklahoma will observe a moment of silence at 12:00 p.m. on September 16 to honor Charlie Kirk." Then follows a bunch of bullshit about Kirk, American exceptionalism, free speech and meaningful debate.
