True! Without that deference to unqualified power in the name of "national unity and security" (and the privilege of access) it's hard to imagine elevating a conman rapist for ratings in 2016.

We see so much resistance to Trump and his authoritarian enablers from so many people, across so many professions - it's really disappointing and beyond damning that the institutions trusted to keep us informed aren't even willing to muster objecting to direct insults. (I did not say surprising.)
