Made my wife's family chili recipe. I have modified it and made it taste better, and also made it vegetarian because everyone who has ever told me chili has to be meat based has turned out to be an asshole.

I'd call it partly several big media orgs of record downplaying how Trump II doesn't have the guardrails I did, and partly survivorship bias? Lots of people voted in protections on the state level, and decided the other consequences would happen to other people.
Survivorship bias plane meme. It's a WWII plane with red dots where planes that made it back were shot. They analyzed to add armor on the weak points, and almost added it there before they realized that all the planes that WERE SHOT DOWN were shot in the places they DIDN'T see, and to armor THOSE. Text: Trump didn't fuck me over the first time. Surely that won't change this time. It's a comment on the state of mind of everyone who voted for Trump's second term.
