i made a near perfect recreation of undertale. now im adding online multiplayer to it
i tried ranking every single mario platformer level editor i could find (excluding scratch games). i'm not judging full game packages, just the level editor portion; including the UI, course part variety, skill ceiling, game feel, game physics, etc

added new stuff to the rewritten chat system for mysterytale. text modifiers! change the color, shakyness or wavyness partway through, disable your portrait, use a different character-specific voice or change your talk speed

finished the skin menu. pretty happy with how it looks right now. there's still a bit of unused space and the category selection isnt incredible, but i think this works nicely

i do plan on running some test sessions on the discord soon-ish. probably after i've implemented underchat with its admin commands but before pvp? somewhere around that point-ish

i actually used my overworld-ified version of the test monster sprite as a placeholder for the other player sprite. that's what you do when making multiplayer games, right? throw in like a default cylinder as a placeholder for other players?

but test monster is cooler than cylinders

i recently finished the core engine of my undertale project, thus completing the portion that's a near perfect recreation of undertale, meaning it's soon time for me to start working on the multiplayer functionality
