Vanessa Proudman is our second keynote speaker and we couldn't be more proud to have her. Vanessa is Director of SPARC Europe; she is working to make Open the default in Europe through policy-making, advocacy and knowledge exchange. At #AEUP2025 she will present the #DIAMAS sustainability toolsuite.

Publishers, please make writing alt text for book covers part of your regular metadata process. Then embed that alt text on your website. And make it more than just the title of the book. It's good for accessibility, and by doing so you ensure that your book is described accurately elsewhere.
