Did Turkey ever grapple with or commemorate its colonial past? No, right?

Half of the US elected this administration and in a democracy everyone is complicit in their governments actions. I haven’t seen sufficient outrage and action in the US to really think they care about our relationship. So I wouldn’t say it’s apolitical.

If it ranks St Gallen on top please know that it has produced some of the most heartless psychos who fail at team playing and judge the merit of work by how hard it is. No offence to those that made it out unscathed and had a good experience.

I have a lot to say about this. I’m glad I don’t work in policy anymore because I’d have a hard time professionally communicating this which you are doing a great job at.

I see a lot of concerning things but not labour laws backsliding in my country or continent - not saying all is well but the EU has actually brought massive improvements to Europe in this regard. Also leading in digital regulation- that could use more teeth but goes in the right direction.

Yes well they lived through a time of automation with no workers rights - whereas if you look at modern automated factories in any country with good labour laws now, people are safer and better paid. Their protest was valid as is the fact that automation when done right isn’t bad per se.

I once visited a village in Austria where they actually got fresh breadrolls delivered like that in the morning- you’d hang out a basked and the bakery would go round and fill it. They usually ignore your wishlist and just put a random variety in. It was perfect.

Can we just leapfrog this and have a drone deliver it right to my bedroom window? So that I don’t even have to go to the door to get my fast food?
