Hi Tracey, taxes don’t pay for anything, Government Expenditure pays for things, Gov set budgets and the B of E is obliged to fund Government priorities! Taxes give the Government issued Fiat Currency credibility and control the money supply!

Tax does not pay for anything, it simply gives the fiat currency credibility, the UK spends 1.2 trillion per year via legislation!
