It's going to take a while to sort this out. (One speaker mentioned that the 90s economic downturn still has an impact now due to a missing generation of installers/electricians).
1 in 3 electro engineers is 50+. Big concerns about the hard win experience that will be walking out the door soon

There are A LOT of people being trained on battery installation.

The European Commission analysed thousands of job ads and conducted interviews to come up with a list of most in-demand jobs. If your kid isn't sure what they want to do in life...

Interesting point about how AI is really going to change the installer industry. Back-end systems, system design, admin, using performance data. They don't need to be coders but they need to know how to use it.

Are you suggesting Trump will eventually finish his term 20cm shorter than when he started it?

They absolutely see it. But it is easier to try and change EU rules than to meet the threat. And they have a strong track record of being bailed out by the EU and member states when things don't go well for them.

I did not know that! We'll need to talk about this.

Once or twice a year I go to Koln or Dusseldorf with my kids to see an afternoon game there. Really good fun.

Surprisingly, they seem to be really popular in French too - at least according to the bookstores I visit.

Despite the pleas of desperate times they seem to be doing fairly well.

Did you ever see the Trainspotting sequel? This is exactly what Sick Boy worked out.

That Danish politician is now the EU Energy Commissioner.

Dammit. I can't make it to the event now. Best of luck with it. Looking forward to reading the report.

Those cars were used as the chauffeur-driven cars for the European Commissioners of the time. There was one filling station south of Brussels they had to drive to constantly.

In general CN and CP own the land where their tracks are (I also grew up in a house owned by CN next to a railyard).
No idea about government powers or CAPEX/OPEX.
But the gov would have to help both RR or they would be sued by the other one. Big project just got much bigger.

Now if a government were looking for some sort of nation-building, cross-country infrastructure project that could be built at the same time by the same crews in a lot of places it could get even more interesting.
