Our findings highlight a set of proteins involved in immune regulation and tissue remodelling, which may shed light on the mechanisms driving long-term lung sequelae.

In this study, we explored whether plasma protein levels measured six months after ICU discharge could serve as biomarkers of interstitial lung disease (ILD) in patients who survived a severe COVID-19.

During the event, I presented our work titled:
“Interstitial lung disease protein biomarkers in post-COVID patients.”

We explored essential tools for variant analysis like:
- gnomAD
- UCSC & Ensembl Genome Browsers
- Human Phenotype Ontology (HPO)
- MobiDetails
- IGV

The course covered the full landscape of genomic diagnostics:
→ HGVS nomenclature
→ ACMG/AMP classification (SNVs & CNVs)
→ Splicing & RNA-level interpretation
→ Data sharing in gene variant databases
